Adventurer. Dancer. Pilates Teacher. Photographer.

Maui Adventure 2018

Samantha graduated Magna Cum Laude with her BFA degree in Modern Dance, from Point Park University. Prior to her move to Pittsburgh, she studied dance at the prestigious Chicago Academy for the Arts under the direction of Randy Duncan.

During her time at Point Park, Samantha has had the opportunity to work with prestigious choreographers such as Kate Skarpetowska, Kiesha Lalama, James Gregg, Ruben Graciani, Ori Flomin and more.

She spent her Spring 2017 semester studying contemporary dance in Europe through the University of Southern Florida’s Dance in Paris semester program, under the direction of Michael Foley. While abroad, she studied with many world-renowned choreographers and artists across various countries in Europe.

Since graduating from Point Park, Samantha accepted a company position with South Chicago Dance Theatre. During the Fall of 2019, Samantha toured to Seoul, Korea with SCDT for a 3 week dance residency at Choomna Arts Center. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the premiere of this work will be postponed until later in November. Samantha looks forward to performing with Choomna again in Chicago!

Samantha has also choreographed and premiered two professional dance works in Chicago. She loves being a part of a creative process and is constantly looking for new/many artists to collaborate with. Her latest piece was premiered in Alluvion Dance Chicago's Emergence Dance Festival in June 2019.

When Samantha is not dancing or creating movement, she enjoys teaching a rigorous pilates class at Core Chicago Pilates. She has been teaching at Core since the summer of 2019 and has loved every second of it. It pleases Samantha to aid her clients to learn more about their bodies, and move in a way that is healthy, safe, and fun.

Samantha dreams to continue absorbing what life has to offer through movement, spontaneous travels, and giving back to her community.
